Last Saturday saw the start of the new season for the Dunlop Endurance Championship, which returns in 2016 under new management and looks fitter and stronger than it did in recent years. Dwindling grids largely attributed to poor management and customer relations had left the series on life support, but a management buyout late in 2015 saw a new team take control that focussed on rebuilding the trust lost in recent years. The World Endurance Championship went to the High Tech Test Track of Paul Ricard for a collective test session before the start of the season. Who is going after Porsche in LMP1 and try and take their crown? Will AF Corse be able to recapture the GT title after Porsche also ran away with that title last year? The more things change…

In early March, prototypes and GT cars gathered at the High Tech Test Circuit of Paul Ricard to conduct the one and only open test session for the FIA World Endurance Championship. Seventeen hours of track time were available and with 29 cars entered, there were a lot of things to find out during the two testing days.
