Only a few hours remain to the start of the 2016 24 Hours of Spa. The past couple of days have been building towards this, with pole position having dominantly been won by AMG as HTP Motorsport’s Clemens Schmid put the team’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 on pole position after team mate Maximilian Götz’s record-breaking lap got disqualified. Two Blancpain GT Endurance Cup race wins in 2016 have given McLaren hope for success in this weekend’s 24 Hours of Spa. Despite countless reliability issues in the past, sportscar veteran and McLaren works driver Rob Bell is confident his three-car team can launch a successful attack on the title in the Ardennes classic.
