The Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini of Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen has taken over the lead of the British GT Championship following Mark Farmer and Nicki Thiim’s fiery exit at the last round in Spa. With just two rounds remaining Minshaw and Keen could seal it this weekend and take the championship that has eluded them for so many years.

A win at Spa-Francorchamps leaves Jack Mitchell with the opportunity to wrap up the GT4 title at Brands Hatch, seeing the BMW M4 win in its British GT debut season with Century Motorsport.

On pole for today’s race is the number 75 Optimum Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT3 driven by Jonny Adam and Flick Haigh, the duo in second place in the standings and just 14 points behind the Barwell contenders. The Beechdean Aston Martin of Andrew Howard and Darren Turner starts from the outside of the front row, Minshaw-Keen Lambo in third place.
