With the Nürburgring 24 Hours out of the way, VLN is back this weekend with the fourth race of the season. With a respectable field of 158 cars of which 12 are GT3s, the championship has seen more modest entry lists in the race following the Nürburgring 24 Hours in previous years.
Starting from pole position for today’s 50. Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy is Christian Krognes, David Pittard and Jody Fannin with the #2 GetSpeed Performance Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Marek Böckmann and Philip Ellis joining the Walkenhorst team on the front row.
The race is scheduled to start at 12:30 CET and has been shortened to 3 hours 30 minutes due qualifying running long after an extensive red flag.
Today’s forecast calls for sporadic rain throughout the second half of the race. The temperature outside is 16 degrees Celsius.
