The Paul Ricard circuit is appreciated by teams for their winter preparation test. In February, the weather is often cold and the famous ‘Mistral’ wind blows strong on the Provence hills. However, staying until late in the evening in the pit lane worth the pain, trying to catch the atmosphere of teams working hard to prepare their LMPs before the start of the new endurance season.

The beginning of the year is also a great occasion to discover new cars. Unhesitatingly, the most beautiful one for me this year was the superb Mclaren 720S GT3, successful in International GT Open at the hands of the Spanish team Teo Martín Motorsport.

Seeing again one of the favourite cars from my childhood, the mighty V12-screaming Aston Martin DBR1-2 in the Masters Endurance Legends series this year was amazing. We celebrated the ten years birthday of the car in due fashion with a great Retro GT article in collaboration with Jurek Biegus.

In May, I had the honour to join the French team JMB Classic on a private trackday, a perfect occasion to introduce you to one of the greatest historic racing teams.

One month later, the Blancpain GT 1000km of Paul Ricard marked a key event in my season where I tried to take advantage of the superb sunset light. Once more, the SRO organiser succeed in bringing together almost 50 GT3s in a breathtaking race.

The end of my year was more devoted to historic cars. From, the magnificent lawns of the Chantilly Concours d’Elegance to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, I met plenty of iconic race cars.
