With the 2020 12 Hours of Sebring delayed until November because of the COVID-19 pandemic, IMSA has pulled together a field of 50 sim racing stars and professional drivers – a number of whom have won the real event, like João Barbosa and Felipe Nasr – to do virtual battle around the bumps of Sebring.
Joining the former IMSA champions in the ranks of talent taking to iRacing includes Jeroen Bleekemolen, António Félix da Costa, Seb Priaulx, IndyCar race winner Colton Herta and GTLM-class winner at the 2020 Daytona 24 Hours Jesse Krohn.
The 90-minute race is just for GTE cars, with all competitors taking to the virtual Floridian asphalt in either a Ferrari 488, Ford GT, Porsche 911 RSR or a BMW M8 with no driver changes allowed.
Racing gets underway at 19:30 CET (18:30 UK) with commentary from IMSA Radio regulars John Hindhaugh, Nick Daman and Ben Constanduros.
