Felipe Fernández Laser strengthens Frikadelli Racing’s drivers line-up for VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series’ unique doubleheader race weekend. The Porsche squad keeps the rest of its drivers roster intact for the back-to-back races.

Lance David Arnold, Alex Müller and Klaus Abbelen will again handle driving duties aboard the #30 Porsche 991.2 GT3R while Kévin Estre and Michael Christensen are joined by Felipe Fernández Laser in the #31 sister car.

Fernández Laser was part of Frikadelli Racing’s successful crew that took two victories in the summer of 2018. The Porsche instructor then returned to Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus for the 2019 Nürburgring 24 Hours but raced twice more for Frikadelli last year.

The stated goal for the #30 Pro-Am class Porsche is to repeat its VLN1 class victory. Two weeks ago, the trio of Arnold, Müller and Abbelen only just missed out on a top ten classification as they came home in 11th. Estre and Christensen failed to take the start as the car suffered technical problems during the formation lap.

In addition to the two Porsche 991.2 GT3Rs, team owner Klaus Abbelen also brings a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS for drivers ‘Jules’ and Hendrik von Danwitz. The British-German duo finished third in class in the season opener.
