Octane126 has been disqualified from its win in the third VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series race. During technical inspection, the scrutineers found the rear-left tyre to not meet the DMSB regulations for the model tire procedure. The #25 Octane126 Ferrari 488 GT3 has therefor been removed from the results.

“On the vehicle with start number 26, a tire with a designated specification was used in the back left, which was not included in the Box 1 list by the manufacturer,” the official document from the stewards, written in German, states.

According to the regulations, each tire manufacturer must deposit a sample slick tire for each specification at each event.

Octane126 has until Monday 19:45 CET to appeal the stewards’ decision. The Ferrari’s disqualification means all cars move up one position, giving the #16 Mercedes-AMG Team HRT Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Maro Engel, Luca Stolz, Manuel Metzger and Adam Christodoulou the provisional win.
