The GT World Challenge Europe finally gets underway today with the first race of the season. Not at Monza as originally planned, but three months later at Imola. Despite the turmoil in the world today, the championship still managed to gather a full field of 46 cars for the season opener.

Yesterday’s qualifying session saw the #66 Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 take pole position. The trio of Mattia Drudi, Kim-Luis Schramm and Fred Vervisch set a three-lap average time of 1:41.799 to spoil the Italian party of the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, Nicklas Nielsen and James Calado who came just under two tenths short.

Watch the race at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari today live at 13:00 CET.
