Thomas Kiefer: “First of all, qualifying was okay for us. I was not driving in Q1 but I did two laps in Q2 when it was dark because the last time I drove in the dark was already a long time ago, last year.

“The car felt good, we had some small issues but we managed to figure out what it was. In the end we could sort them out. We are planning, or we will see what the weather will do tomorrow, but we are planning to have a quick go again tomorrow when it is raining in the warm-up session.

“For the race, we will see what we can do out there. We are struggling a bit in the rain but there’s noting we can change for this weekend. We know the reason but we have to focus on the race now because we can’t really change it now. The strategy will be to not push too much at the beginning for sure, it’s a long race and I think the weather will be difficult because it should be mixed, the forecast now is changing all the time so it’s going to be difficult and an interesting one and we will see what we can do! The team is happy, the car feels good.

“Of course, we have to see how the rain performance is. As I mentioned already, because we are struggling a bit there. For myself, I never did a lap in the GT3 Cup in the wet so it’s going to be my first time tomorrow during the race which is of course not perfect and puts a bit of pressure onto myself but I will see what I can do. It will take some time to get used to it. We’re looking forward to it, I hope you guys are too. So, let’s see what the race will bring for us!”
