For the upcoming 19th edition of the Italian GT Championship, Manfredi Ravetto and Paolo Ruberti’s team, SR&R, has confirmed both a Sprint and Endurance program with its Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo.
Luca Demarchi will share the cockpit with Nicholas Risitano for the Sprint series rounds, while Edoardo Barbolini will join the team for its Endurance races.
“We are very satisfied with what we did in 2020 on our debut in a challenging championship like the CIGT,” commented Paolo Ruberti.
“Among the many podiums we were able to achieve though, we lacked the satisfaction of the victroy. Even though we achieved a class victory at the 6 Hours of Rome, we count on to be able to conquer victories in the CIGT this year with the pilots we have chosen.”
Manfredi Ravetto seems optimistic for the upcoming season; “We dedicate our dues thanks to ACI Sport which once again, in difficult times, is setting up a constantly expanding championship. SR&R grows one step at a time and increases its efforts year after year.
“We have Gianfranco Fantuzzi, head of the organizational and sporting part of things, and Alex Frassen as head of the technical side. With these two, they can identify and prepare drivers to face the most demanding challenges.”
The 2021 Italian GT season is set to kick off at Monza with its Sprint series rounds from 30 April-2 May, while the Endurance season will start at Circuit Enna-Pergusa from 21-23 May.
