Legnaro based Ceccato Racing has confirmed it will participate in this year’s Italian GT season, confirming both a Sprint and Endurance series program. Nicola Neri, in his second season with the team, will partner up Giuseppe Fascicolo to compete behind the wheel of a BMW M4 GT4 in the Sprint series.
With regards to the Endurance program, a trio of drivers will be made official during the coming days.
“After a brilliant 2020 season in the Italian GT Sprint Championship, in which we won the GT4 Pro-Am class, we are ready to get back on the track with a highly motivated crew and a car that is certainly capable in accomplishing great things,” said Ceccato Racing team manager Roberto Ravaglia.
A second BMW M4 GT4 was recently seen testing at Misano, with the team identifying more possible drivers. Throughout the two days of the Italian GT pre-season tests, the Swede Alfred Nilsson and Simone Riccitelli, both nineteen years of age, stood out the most behind the wheel of the Bavarian coupe.
“The two-day test at Misano allowed us to set up the BMW M4 in the best possible way but, above all, to try out some possible candidates for the crew that we will field in the Endurance series,” added Ravaglia.
