Ferrai powerhouse AF Corse has confirmed two extra entries for the Italian GT Championship with two-time Italian GT3 champion Lorenzo Casè in one of what is now three Ferrari 488 GT3 Evos.
Alongside the earlier confirmed entry of Carrie Schreiner, Sean Hudspeth and Antonio Fuoco, the de facto Ferrari factory team has confirmed extra cars. One will be piloted by 20-year-old Simon Mann – a GT3 Pro-Am race winner back in 2019 – who is tackling a combined Sprint and Endurance campaign alongside former GT1 World Championship and GT Open competitor Matteo Cressoni.
There’s a family connection in the second 488, as Simon Mann’s father Peter – who raced for AF Corse at Imola last year – joins for the full Sprint season alongside Italian GT star Casè who has taken numerous podiums and wins in a variety of Ferrari machinery in the championship.
The first round of Italian GT’s Endurance campaign is at Monza at the end of April, while the Sprint season takes place a month later at Pergusa on 21-23 May.
