Thomas ‘Tommy’ Kiefer is back for his fourth Nürburgring 24 Hours with Four Motors. Last year, the #320 Bioconcept Car Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup made it home in 45th. Now, with a new tyre supplier in Michelin, the Smudo-led team is aiming higher, but more importantly, to prove that environmental-friendly solutions for fuel, oil and lightweight body parts very much can go hand-in-hand with motorsports. Just like last year, Tommy joins Thomas von Löwis, Smudo and Charles Kauffman aboard the blue Porsche.

Starting position: P47 (P1 in AT class, 3rd fastest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup overall).

Thomas Kiefer: “Today was actually a relaxed day for us. We used Q3 to finalise the preparation for the race like running in new brake pads and to get some more minutes behind the wheel.

“I didn’t drive today, but we did some drive change practice to make sure everything runs smoothly during the race and that everyone within the team feels comfortable.

“Today we got already a little taste of the crazy weather conditions that we might face during the next days. It was incredible to spectate the Top Qualifying session where all the guys really gave it everything to get a good lap together in the rain.

“We will see how the situation is tomorrow and decide whether we will go on track again during the warm-up or not.

“But now it’s time for some rest to be in shape for the race!”
