German squad Leipert Motorsport will make its first Intelligent Money British GT Championship start since 2012 at Spa-Francorchamps next weekend (July 24/25).
In 2012 the team contested a Gallardo LP600+ with Fidel Leib and Brendon Leitch who return and will share the team’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
The team and Silver-Am crew also ordinarily race together in Creventic’s 24 Hour GT Series after previously coming through the ranks with Leipert.
25-year-old Leitch gained extensive single seater experience in his native New Zealand and Asia before finishing runner-up in Super Trofeo Asia’s Pro-Am class and fifth in the same manufacturer’s World Final with Leipert in 2019.
Bronze-graded Leib has also raced in Super Trofeo Europe as well as the GT4-based DTM Trophy with Leipert. Like his co-driver, the two-time Nurburgring 24 Hour class winner makes his British GT debut at Spa.
Watch Round 4 of this year’s Intelligent Money British GT Championship – as well as the rest of SRO Speedweek’s races – live on the GT.REPORT/live next Sunday.
