GT World Challenge Europe stormed into Brands Hatch for the seventh round of the 2021 season. Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor claimed race 1 victory and with second place in race 2, they also secured the Sprint Cup championship.

Race 2 went the way of Maro Engel and Luca Stolz after a last-lap failure for Timur Boguslavskiy in the AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3.
There was a lucky escape for Ollie Wilkinson in the Jota Sport McLaren as contact in the closing stages of race 1 saw his car punch its way through the Armco barrier and come to rest in the trees surrounding the Grand Prix loop. Fortunately, Wilkinson was OK, the car, however, not so with the team withdrawing from the second race due to the extensive damage caused.
