After the 6-hour race, the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series returns to its regular 4-hour format with the 53rd running of the ADAC Barbarossapreis. 123 cars are scheduled to take the start of the Nordschleife endurance race, including 18 SP9/GT3 class machines. The GT3s are joined by the BMW M4 GT3 in the SPX class for prototype GT3 cars, making its second race appearance.
Other entries of interest are the Aston Martin works team bringing the Vantage AMR GT3, HWA Racelab which sees SchnitzelAlm Racing driver Marcel Marchewicz make his GT3 debut, Black Falcon’s return to GT3 entering a Porsche 991.2 GT3R for its Team Identica juniors, an additional Lionspeed GP Audi R8 LMS GT3 brining the total number of Lionspeed Audis to two, and a Mann-Filter Team Landgraf Mercedes-AMG GT3 run by HTP/Winward Racing.
