2021 was an unusual year for me but also a very exciting one. The season started like 2020 ended, with WRC teams testing to prepare for the Monte-Carlo Rally in January in picturesque snowy conditions. I really enjoyed the diverse possibilities of photos and various landscapes, even if the temperature reached -15°C occasionally, freezing my fingers while trying to catch the WRC cars with my camera.

At the start of the year I moved to Portugal for six months for my study. Because of the pandemic, my initial plan to visit Portimão circuit was set aside following the cancellation of the International GT Open and 24H Series races. Despite this, on the side of the dusty roads at rally stages, I discovered a passionate country where rally and motorsports in general are a true religion. It was my first time shooting a gravel rally and it was quite challenging, I tried to get the best of the Portuguese countryside scenery in frame.

After coming back to France, I covered the Ultimate Cup Series at Le Mans and Magny-Cours. The quality and quantity of the GT field of the series is growing each year and I appreciated the opportunity to shoot trackside for the first time on two new circuits.

Nearly one year after my last visit, I went back to Circuit Paul Ricard for the Paragraph 5 trackdays. Many GT3 teams were out testing for the upcoming 2022 season and it was a big pleasure to come back to my home track after such a long time.
