Connor De Phillippi grabbed pole position for the 53. Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy. With a lap time of 7m57.095s it was the #99 Rowe Racing BMW M4 GT3 that set the fastest time in a qualifying marred by yellow flags and Code 60 slow zones.
The #44 BMW Junior Team M4 GT3 of Daniel Harper will line up second on the grid, scoring his front-row start with a lap of 7m58.374s. His lap came in the middle of the of the session during one of the few moments without a Code 60.
Only 0.399 second slower than the BMW Junior was Sami-Matti Trogen in the #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 who ended up in third place.
The first non-BMW on the starting grid is the #911 Manthey Racing Porsche 991.2 GT3R, winner of NLS1. Laurens Vanthoor set a lap time of 8:00.368 to qualify ‘Grello’ on fourth.
Continuing BMW’s strong presence at the front of the grid was Ben Tuck, setting a 8m00.824s aboard the #35 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT3.
The most remarkable car at the front, however, is the KTM X-Bow GT2. With a time of 8m00.880s Tim Heinemann raced the Cup X car to sixth on the grid right in the middle of the GT3 frontrunners.
