Orange Racing, powered by JMH, is gearing up for another thrilling season in the British GT Championship, this time with a revamped lineup aiming for Silver-Am honors. Team owner Simon Orange joins forces with Tom Roche in their McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, marking a significant shift from their previous Pro-Am setup.
Having debuted in the series two years ago and completed a full season in 2023 with Michael O’Brien in the Pro seat, Orange Racing is now setting its sights on success in the Silver-Am category. Tom Roche, who previously collaborated with Orange in the Mazda MX-5 series, brings a wealth of experience to the team, having clinched teams’ championship in GT Cup alongside Orange/JMH.
Simon Orange expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, highlighting the strengthened partnership with JMH Automotive. The decision to switch to the Silver-Am category allows Orange to team up with Roche, whom he considers a good friend and a skilled driver. The duo aims to capitalize on their chemistry and experience to vie for class victory.
Tom Roche, no stranger to British GT, is excited about the opportunity to race alongside Orange and the JMH team. Having previously competed in the series back in 2013, Roche brings a wealth of knowledge and determination to the partnership. He acknowledges Orange’s prowess on the track and the team’s professionalism, setting high expectations for the season ahead.
While Orange and O’Brien secured a best result of fourth place last season, the team remains optimistic about their prospects, fueled by their passion for racing and the striking orange McLaren livery. Paying homage to McLaren’s Le Mans legacy, the updated design draws inspiration from Gulf Racing’s iconic F1 GTRs of 1996.
The anticipation builds as the British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park on March 30 + April 1. With a promising lineup and renewed determination, Orange Racing JMH is poised to make its mark on the track and pursue glory in the Silver-Am category.
