Former DTM champion Maximilian Goetz and rising star Kevin Tse have teamed up to spearhead Contempo Concept’s charge in the upcoming British GT season.
The partnership marks the union of two formidable talents under the banner of 2 Seas Motorsport, signaling a dynamic shift in the GT3 landscape. Goetz, a seasoned Mercedes-AMG driver with a storied career spanning over a decade, brings his wealth of experience and accolades to the table. His triumphs include prestigious victories in events like the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and the Fanatec GT Europe Sprint Cup, culminating in a crowning moment with the 2021 DTM title.
Tse, no stranger to success himself, showcased his prowess in last season’s Silver-Am standings with a commendable second-place finish while piloting for Sky Tempesta’s McLaren. Now, with an eye on progression, Tse eagerly anticipates his leap into the Pro-Am class alongside the illustrious Goetz.
“After a full season in GT3 Silver-Am, I am extremely excited to be graduating to the Pro-Am class in British GT in 2024,” he said. “2 Seas has proven itself to be ultra-successful over the years, and the icing on the cake for me is to be driving with Maximilian.
“The 2021 DTM champion needs no introduction, and I will be looking forward to improving my driving skills with him to guide me throughout the year. It is all shaping up to be an amazing season!”
The anticipation is palpable as the dynamic duo gears up to unleash their talents on the British GT stage. Contempo Concept’s striking entry, adorned with sponsorship from Contempo Concept, promises to make waves as it graces the tracks during the upcoming season.
“It is great to be back with the 2 Seas crew for 2024, and to be taking on a new challenge of British GT,” said the Goetz. “We had a great run at the end of last year at the Gulf event, and they proved to be true challengers on the biggest stage.
“The British GT Championship has become one of the biggest domestic championships in recent years, and has seen some amazing racing, so I am really looking forward to being a part of it, joining up with Kevin, and seeing what we can do together.”
Stay tuned for the unveiling of Contempo Concept’s sleek entry at Donington during British GT’s media day on March 12, setting the stage for an exhilarating campaign that kicks off at Oulton Park on March 30 and April 1.
