Century Motorsport gears up for another exciting season in the British GT Championship with the announcement of their dynamic duo for the upcoming races. Joining forces in the cockpit of one of the team’s BMW M4 GT4s are Ravi Ramyead and Charlie Robertson, setting the stage for an intense battle on the track.
Ramyead, a familiar face in the British GT paddock with his Ginetta GT Academy background, brings with him a wealth of experience. Having clinched second place with Century in the GTA class last season, he now eagerly steps into the multi-class and multi-manufacturer competition arena.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Ramyead stated, “It’s great to be continuing with Century Motorsport and stepping up to British GT. Making the transition from Ginetta to BMW has felt pretty natural in pre-season testing and I’m really looking forward to the new challenges this championship brings.”
Meanwhile, Robertson, renowned for his remarkable performances in Ginettas, embarks on a new chapter outside the factory fold. His first venture sees him team up with Ramyead, whom he previously mentored in GTA.
“After significant pre-season testing in the BMW, I am hugely excited to get our season underway in British GT with Century Motorsport,” said Robertson. “The GT4 category is looking stronger than ever, which is a huge motivation for both Ravi and I to make sure we leave no stone unturned in preparation.”
With both drivers primed and eager to hit the tarmac, Century Motorsport aims to defend their team title and contend for overall honors in what promises to be an exhilarating season.
The British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park on March 30th and April 1st, where Ramyead and Robertson, alongside their Pro-Am teammates Ian Gough and Tom Wrigley, will be ready to showcase their prowess.
