The second three-hour test of endurance came from Donington Park as the 2024 British GT Championship nears its halfway point. In what can only be described as extremely mixed conditions, Alex Martin and Sandy Mitchell survived the torrential downpour and battled their way through to the front of the pack after a great late-race duel.

Tom Gamble in the Optimum Motorsport McLaren 720s GT3 did all he could to reign in the Lamborghini in the final two laps but he ran out of time paving the way clear for Martin and Mitchell to clinch their second victory of the season.

Meanwhile, GT4 honours went to the Optimum Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 of Jack Brown and Zac Meakin after a late race charge of their own.
