Orange Racing powered by JMH is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in the 2025 British GT season, as three-time GT3 race-winner Marcus Clutton joins the team. Clutton, an experienced McLaren 720S GT3 Evo driver, will partner with team owner Simon Orange in a bid to secure the team’s first victory in the series.
Clutton is no stranger to the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, having spent four years racing the model with Enduro Motorsport and Garage 59. His familiarity with the car, coupled with his previous collaboration with Orange Racing in the 2022 Asian Le Mans Series, makes him a strong asset for the team’s Pro-Am campaign.
“I’m delighted to start a new journey with Orange Racing,” said Clutton. “From my time with them in the Asian Le Mans Series, I saw the potential of this team. The ingredients for success are here, and I’m eager to help them achieve their first race wins. Simon has raw pace, and with some fine-tuning, I believe we can make him a consistent front-runner in a highly competitive field.”
Orange Racing enters its third British GT season following its GT Cup championship success in 2022. Despite challenging results in recent years, Orange is optimistic about the team’s trajectory with Clutton onboard.
“It’s fantastic to be back in British GT,” said Orange. “This marks our return to the top Pro-Am category, and we’re more motivated than ever. Retaining our talented team of engineers and mechanics has been crucial for continuity, and adding Marcus to the lineup strengthens our chances immensely. His wealth of experience with the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo is already proving invaluable.”
The team is set to hit the track at Silverstone’s media day on March 21, ahead of the season opener at Donington Park three weeks later. With a renewed focus and a strong driver pairing, Orange Racing is determined to fight for race wins and championship contention in 2025.
