Jolt Racing is set to make its highly anticipated debut in the British GT Championship this season, becoming the first team to confirm participation in the newly introduced Endurance Cup.

The Hampshire-based squad, led by reigning GT Cup GTA class champions Rupert Williams and John Ingram, will step up to the prestigious series with a McLaren Artura GT4. The model has already proven its capabilities, securing eight race wins across the past two British GT seasons—twice as many as its closest rival.

For Ingram, this marks a return to the British GT paddock after competing in the British F3 Championship in 1998 and 1999. He was also set to race a Marcos Mantis at Silverstone in 2000, though that opportunity never materialized. His extensive motorsport career includes stints in various national championships and the European Le Mans Series, alongside a 15-year hiatus before launching Jolt Racing in 2022.

“Stepping up to British GT was always part of our plan,” said Ingram. “The launch of the Endurance Cup made 2025 the ideal time to take this step. Last year’s GT Cup season was all about development, and now we’re ready to put everything into action with the new McLaren Artura GT4. We’ve made significant strides within the team, bringing in key personnel and improving our infrastructure. We can’t wait to get started at Media Day.”

Williams, who has been an integral part of Jolt Racing’s journey, is equally eager for the challenge ahead.

“This is a huge step for us,” he said. “British GT is incredibly competitive, but John and I have developed a strong partnership over the past two seasons. With the support of our team and partners—including our new collaboration with Otto Lube—we’re confident in our ability to make an impact. Our pre-season testing in Spain has been really encouraging, and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve this year.”

The newly introduced Endurance Cup will consist of four races at three iconic circuits—Donington Park, Silverstone, and Spa-Francorchamps—offering an exciting new challenge for teams and drivers.

Jolt Racing’s McLaren Artura GT4 will be on display at British GT’s Media Day on March 21 at Silverstone. The event is free for the public to attend, with tickets available through the Silverstone website.
