The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans entry list is officially out, featuring some exciting one-off entries for this year’s twice-around-the-clock French classic.

Similar to last season, the LMP2 class returns for its one-off World Endurance Championship (WEC) weekend, alongside the Hypercar and LMGT3 classes.

Among the entries are several invitational teams from other series, including IMSA, while six reserve cars are listed in case any team withdraws.

With that, let’s take a closer look at this year’s 2025 Le Mans entry list.

Hypercar

The Hypercar class is always the most intriguing, given its status as the top category in both the race and the WEC. This year, 21 cars are confirmed for the field, with the potential for a 22nd entry.

One of the biggest storylines is the inclusion of Wayne Taylor Racing’s (WTR) Cadillac-backed effort.

WTR announced to SportsCar365 in January that they had submitted a bid for Le Mans. The preliminary entry list (barring any withdrawals) confirms that the team will make its WEC and Le Mans debut with a single car.

The #101 Cadillac entry will feature Jordan and Ricky Taylor, alongside Felipe Albuquerque.

Other invitational Hypercar entries include the #311 Action Express Racing Cadillac, featuring its IMSA lineup, and Porsche Penske’s third entry, the #4 “IMSA” ride.

Beyond the invitational teams, Aston Martin will make its Le Mans Hypercar debut with two Heart of Racing Valkyries. The brand-new LMH machine debuted last week, finishing 17th and 18th.

Proton Competition holds a reserve spot with its IMSA-focused #44 entry, which would become the 22nd car if a team drops out.

A few key storylines stand out in the Hypercar class. Can AF Corse Ferrari secure a three-peat? Will Porsche Penske achieve the Rolex 24 & Le Mans double in the same year?

LMP2

The LMP2 class, an all-spec category, returns for its only WEC race of the season, featuring 17 entries.

This year’s invitational teams include RLR M Sport, Inter Europol, Algarve Pro Racing, and AF Corse.

The entry list boasts notable Hypercar/GTP drivers, including Renger van der Zande, Tom Blomqvist, Dane Cameron, Colin Braun, and Nick Yelloly.

Additionally, Jamie Chadwick represents the female contingent, competing with IDEC Sport, a team partnered with the new Genesis LMDh program.

Five teams will field two-car efforts, doubling their chances of victory. These teams are Inter Europol, United Autosports, IDEC Sport, Algarve Pro Racing, and Proton/Iron Lynx-Proton.

The LMP2 reserve list includes DKR Engineering, Duqueine Team, and Vector Sport, featuring Pietro Fittipaldi in its backup lineup.

LMGT3

The LMGT3 class enters its second year at Le Mans and in WEC, with 24 cars, the largest grid of any class this year.

Four invitational entries are included: #13 AWA Corvette, #63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG, #90 Manthey Porsche, and #199 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Ferrari.

One of the biggest highlights is Mercedes-AMG’s return to Le Mans for the first time since 1999, entering three Iron Lynx-backed GT3 cars. Meanwhile, AWA Racing aims to complete the Rolex 24 & Le Mans 24 double, running its IMSA lineup in June.
