Teams are getting ready for the second race weekend of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this weekend and some are doing it in style with special liveries for the upcoming 12-hour race at Sebring.
Among the teams, most noteworthy is Pratt Miller Racing’s pair of Corvettes that feature a throwback honoring the 1987 Protofab Racing Corvette GTO that won its class that year.
The livery features a primarily white base, with blue and red accents adorning the Chevy-built machines and ties into the title sponsor for the Sebring 12 Hour, Mobil 1.
BMW also decided to honor their history through its special 50th anniversary livery for the weekend, which chronologically shows the racing story of the BMW North America through its countless race victories over the years.
Corvette isn’t the only GM machine also taking on a Mobil 1 inspired theme, including the brand’s corporate colors within its primarily red and black Whelen scheme.
Last season, most of the Mobil 1 liveries featured gold given the company’s 50th anniversary with Chip Ganassi Cadillac and the Vasser Sullivan Lexus adorning the colors.
The 2025 Mobil 1 Sebring 12 Hour is set to kickoff at 10 a.m. EST, live on Peacock, a streaming-only race. The race is set to be the only event on the IMSA calendar under NBC’s streaming platform.
