Under ideal weather conditions, with clear skies and temperatures hovering around 17°C, eight DTM teams gathered at the Lausitzring for the official ADAC GT3 test. The session served as a key opportunity to fine-tune setups ahead of the upcoming race weekend from 23 to 25 May.
Reigning DTM champion Mirko Bortolotti immediately set the pace, topping the morning session in his Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 with a blistering lap of 1:20.799.
Hot on his heels was Lucas Auer in the Mercedes-AMG GT3, clocking a 1:20.805, just six-thousandths of a second behind Bortolotti. Ben Dörr, piloting the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, impressed with a third-fastest time and went on to top the afternoon session.
Manthey EMA’s Porsche duo of Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Güven rounded out the top five, both delivering competitive lap times in the 911 GT3 R.
