It was a weekend packed with action across the world of GT and endurance racing. From the Ardennes forest to the Eifel mountains, and over to California’s coast, fans were treated to drama, strategy, and standout drives as three major championships hit the track.

Ferrari extended its dominance in the FIA WEC with a hard-fought one-two at Spa, while Manthey EMA claimed a clever win in NLS3 on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. In the U.S., IMSA delivered a no-caution thriller at Laguna Seca, where Porsche continued its winning streak but this time with a different winner.

Here’s your full rewind from another intense weekend on the road to Le Mans, the Nürburgring 24 Hours, and more.

FIA World Endurance Championship – 6 Hours of Spa

Ferrari fights back to take dramatic one-two at Spa

Ferrari made it three wins in a row in the FIA World Endurance Championship, locking out the top two steps of the podium at Spa with a fierce and dramatic 1–2 finish. The #51 Ferrari 499P of Calado, Giovinazzi, and Pier Guidi led the charge, rebounding from a crash in practice to take victory in a nail-biting final stint.

Alessandro Pier Guidi fought off intense pressure from BMW and Alpine in the closing stages, securing the win just four seconds ahead of the #50 sister car. Alpine’s #36 machine completed the podium after a spirited drive by Schumacher, Gounon, and Makowiecki.

Toyota recovered to fourth, while Cadillac scored its best result of the year with fifth and sixth.

In LMGT3, Vista AF Corse also took the win as Alessio Rovera, François Heriau, and Simon Mann capitalised on a clean run and trouble for Lexus to dominate the class. A late-race scrap saw Proton Ford and a second Ferrari narrowly beat out the #77 Mustang in a close fight for the podium.

Next up: the season’s biggest test — the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie – NLS3

Manthey wins tactical Porsche shootout at the Nordschleife

Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Güven delivered a calculated victory for Manthey EMA in the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. Starting from pole, Güven was quickly drawn into a fierce early battle with the Scherer Sport PHX Audi and later the GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG.

The decisive moment came in the final round of pit stops when Preining extended his stint by a lap, allowing the #911 Porsche to leap back into the lead with a shorter final stop. From there, he controlled the pace to the flag. GetSpeed’s #14 Mercedes took second, with the #3 Falken Porsche completing the podium after a strong drive by Morris Schuring who was named Driver of the Day for his performance.

With the ADAC 24h Qualifiers just two weeks away, teams now prepare for a crucial double-header in the final build-up to the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship – Laguna Seca

#6 Porsche breaks through in caution-free thriller

Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell finally turned pace into victory at Laguna Seca, claiming their first GTP win of the season in the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963. A perfectly timed undercut and faultless traffic management gave the duo the edge in a dramatic finish, ending the #7 Porsche’s unbeaten run after three consecutive wins.

On the final lap, traffic at the final corner brought the top three cars together, with the #6 Porsche holding firm as teammate Nick Tandy and BMW’s Dries Vanthoor made contact. The clash sent the #24 BMW off into the runoff, allowing Porsche to secure another 1–2 result.

In a rare caution-free IMSA race, strategy was everything, and BMW’s strong pace again went unrewarded despite another pole. Cadillac and Acura completed the top five as the GTP field heads into a brief break before Detroit.

AO Racing scores third straight GTD Pro win

In GTD PRO, AO Racing’s ‘Roxy’ Porsche dominated once again as Laurin Heinrich and Klaus Bachler took a third consecutive victory. A bold early stop gave them clean air and control, holding off DragonSpeed’s Ferrari and the #3 Corvette.

Winward repeats at Laguna in GTD

Philip Ellis and Russell Ward delivered another smart drive in the #57 Winward Mercedes, using an undercut to beat out the #32 Korthoff entry and secure their second win of the year. Vasser Sullivan’s Lexus took second, with Conquest’s Ferrari rounding out the podium.

Coming up: GTWC Europe sprints in Zandvoort, and another Spa endurance

Next weekend, the GT racing spotlight shifts back to Zandvoort as the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup tackles the Dutch dunes. It’s a key stop in the short-format championship and always a fan favourite. Meanwhile, Spa hosts another endurance classic with the GT Open 500. The summer stretch is coming and the pace is only picking up.
