Longtime Porsche stalwart Ebimotors is set to take on the 2025 Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo Sprint season with a full-season entry in the top GT3 class, fielding its trusted pairing of Paolo Venerosi and Alessandro Baccani in the Am category.

The Como-based team, led by Enrico Borghi, brings its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) to the four-round sprint series beginning at Vallelunga on 23–25 May. Venerosi and Baccani, mainstays of the Ebimotors outfit and faithful Porsche racers for years, are aiming to build on their momentum from 2024.

A long-standing partnership with Porsche roots

The duo has raced with Ebimotors for many seasons, representing the team in various GT categories including GT Cup, GT4, and most recently GT3. Their enduring partnership with both the team and the Porsche brand has made them a fixture in the Italian GT paddock. In 2024, they campaigned the current 992-generation 911 GT3 R together in the Sprint series, continuing a long tradition of collaboration with Enrico Borghi’s squad.

“We’re happy and motivated to be racing again this year in the Italian GT Sprint with the Porsche 992 GT3 R,” said the duo. “From the start of the year we’ve been focused on training and preparation. We’ve developed a new level of confidence with the car, and head to Vallelunga determined to give it our all in the Am class—thanks also to the excellent work of the Ebimotors engineers and technicians.”

Borghi: “Targeting the Am title”

Team principal Borghi added: “We’ve been part of the Italian GT Championship since its early years and couldn’t miss out on this season, which looks to be one of the most competitive yet. The series has grown tremendously in recent times. After several seasons in GT Cup and GT4, we returned to GT3 last year, where we were already national champions back in 2013. We’re not aiming for overall honours, but we’re certainly targeting the Am title, and with Paolo and Ale we believe we can be in the mix.”

Four-round calendar for 2025

The Italian GT Sprint Championship takes place across four events in 2025, with the Vallelunga opener followed by rounds at Misano, Mugello, and Monza.
