Scherer Sport PHX returns to the Nürburgring 24 Hours with two high-calibre GT3 entries, fielding six top-tier drivers in its Porsche and Audi squads for the 2025 edition of the endurance classic.

The #16 Porsche 911 GT3 R will be shared by Porsche works driver Laurens Vanthoor and Swiss duo Ricardo Feller and Patric Niederhauser. Vanthoor, a former Nürburgring 24 winner and reigning WEC champion, recently added victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring to his résumé. Feller, who helped secure overall victory at the Nürburgring last year with Scherer Sport PHX, has also won titles in GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe. Niederhauser, a GT Masters champion and Spa 24 Hours runner-up, is still chasing a first major 24-hour win.

In the #1 Audi R8 LMS, three Nordschleife specialists will take the wheel: Christopher Haase, Luca Ludwig, and Markus Winkelhock. Haase and Winkelhock shared overall wins at the Nürburgring in 2012 and 2014, with Winkelhock adding a third in 2017. Ludwig, the 2015 GT Masters champion, earned a GT3 class victory and third overall in the 2010 edition.

“We’re happy to present such a strong line-up, made possible with the support of our partners,” said Christian Scherer, CEO of the Scherer Group and founder of Scherer Sport PHX. “Porsche has entrusted us with Laurens Vanthoor and their contracted drivers Ricardo Feller and Patric Niederhauser for our first 24-hour race with the 911 GT3 R. With Christopher Haase, Luca Ludwig, and Markus Winkelhock, we also have a powerful and well-balanced Audi crew on the grid.”

The 2025 ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring takes place on 21-22 June.
