In Race 1 of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS at Sebring International Raceway, DXDT Racing’s Matt Bell executed a late-race pass on Regulator Racing’s Jeff Burton with seven minutes remaining to secure the Pro-Am victory on Saturday afternoon.

Following the scheduled mid-race pit stops, Regulator Racing’s lead—built by Mercedes-AMG regular Philip Ellis—began to shrink as the race progressed, with Bell closing in on Ellis’ teammate, Jeff Burton.

Bell ultimately made the decisive move at Turn 10 and pulled away from the Mercedes-AMG to give DXDT Racing the class win.

In the Pro class, Random Vandals Racing’s duo of Kenton Koch and Connor De Phillippi delivered a commanding performance in the #99 BMW M4 GT3, maintaining control throughout the race to claim both the class and overall victory.

The team’s sister car, piloted by Bill Auberlen and Varun Choksey, engaged in a tight battle with RS1 and JMF Motorsports. However, a well-timed pit stop allowed Jan Heylen to secure second place, preventing a 1-2 finish for the Raccoon-branded BMWs.

In the Am class, Dollahite Racing dropped back slightly before their pit stop but rebounded with a strong showing to claim the class win—albeit as the sole entry in the category.
