The heavens opened over Zandvoort, but that didn’t stop Jordan Pepper from delivering a storming lap, securing pole position with a 1m42.194sec — his first-ever DTM pole. The TGI Team Lamborghini by GRT driver edged out Maro Engel by a mere 0.008 seconds, with the Winward-Mercedes ace left ruing what might have been.
Luca Engstler, piloting the second Grasser Lamborghini, was just 0.017sec off the top spot, clinching third place in a fiercely contested session. Ricardo Feller, flying the Land-Motorsport Audi, slotted into fourth, while Ayhancan Güven ensured Manthey EMA’s Porsche remained in the mix with fifth place.
Todays race at Zandvoort is set to commence at 13:30 CEST.
