Iron Dames have confirmed a last-minute change to their driver line-up for the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Sarah Bovy stepping in for Michelle Gatting following an injury during Sunday’s test session.

Gatting suffered fractures to her foot in a pit stop driver change incident and has been ruled out of the event. The Danish racer had been preparing for her fifth Le Mans start, but will now focus on recovery with the full backing of both Iron Dames and team partner Manthey.

The revised #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 entry will see Bovy join Rahel Frey and Célia Martin for the French endurance classic. Already a core member of the Iron Dames project, Bovy brings with her a wealth of Le Mans experience and will be a familiar face to fans of the pink-liveried programme.

“This is deeply disappointing for Michelle and the entire team,” the team said in a joint statement. “But she is in good spirits and now focusing on her recovery, with the full support of everyone at Iron Dames and Manthey.”

The Iron Dames continue to be one of the few all-female crews in the FIA World Endurance Championship and have become crowd favourites at La Sarthe for their pace, professionalism and perseverance.
