ADAC GT Masters – Salzburgring: McLaren makes history before BMW strikes back
Race 1
Dörr Motorsport wrote a new chapter at the Salzburgring as Ben Dörr and Guilherme de Oliveira delivered McLaren’s first-ever ADAC GT Masters victory. Despite a penalty setback, the duo charged back to the front, beating SR Motorsport’s Mercedes and Schubert Motorsport’s BMW to the flag.
A perfectly timed strategy and decisive overtakes after the final stop proved key to their success. The result also made Dörr Motorsport the first DTM squad to win in the ADAC GT Masters.
Race 2
FK Performance’s Leyton Fourie and Tim Zimmermann converted pole into their second win of the season after a tense Sunday race. The BMW crew held off Dörr Motorsport’s McLaren, while Haupt Racing’s Ford Mustang secured third to protect its championship lead.
A red-flag interruption added extra drama, but the BMW regained control after the second pit cycle. With the win, Fourie and Zimmermann closed the gap in the standings to just eight points.
