The 2025 ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie reaches its finale this weekend with the 1. NLS Sportwarte-Trophy, a new race marking the end of another season on the Nordschleife. 100 cars are set to take the start on Saturday (full entry list here) for the final four-hour race of the year.
Title contenders and trophies
While the overall championship is all but decided in favour of Nick Wüstenhagen and Ranko Mijatovic, who have dominated the season in the FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT4, several other titles remain open. The NLS Speed-Trophy is expected to be a duel between the two Falken Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R entries, with Nico Menzel competing in both the #3 and #4 cars alongside Joel Sturm and Dorian Boccolacci respectively.
The Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) also comes down to the wire. In Cup 2, the fight is between Mühlner Motorsport’s #921 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Arne Hoffmeister, David Jahn, and Tim Scheerbarth, and the LOSCH Motorsport by Black Falcon #948 Porsche of Tobias Müller, Noah Nagelsdiek, and Carlos Rivas. Meanwhile, in Cup 3, W&S Motorsport and Schmickler Performance powered by Ravenol go head-to-head, with Constantin Schöll, Jürgen Vöhringer, and Stephan Brodmerkel representing W&S, while Andreas Schettler, Mario Hammel, and Axel Jahn fly the flag for Schmickler.
Big names and guest entries
Among the standout names in the field are Jay Mo Härtling, fresh off his ADAC GT4 Germany title, who joins Kenneth Heyer and Tim Neuser in a Mercedes-AMG GT4 from SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm. The popular Team Bilstein by Black Falcon entry also returns, featuring Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Brown, Misha Charoudin, and Manuel Metzger.
Ethanol power
Also returning this weekend is the ethanol-powered Max Kruse Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3, which impressed on debut last round by finishing fourth overall while running on alternative fuel in the AT class. Like two weeks ago, Benny Leuchter is again joined by the brothers Dominik and Marcel Fugel
Looking back: Verstappen’s GT3 debut
The previous round, NLS9, saw Max Verstappen and Chris Lulham make their GT3 debut in dominant style, taking victory for Emil Frey Racing in the #31 Ferrari 296 GT3. Verstappen led from the start and built a huge advantage before handing over to Lulham, who completed the win. The result marked the completion of Verstappen’s Nordschleife GT3 permit requirements.
Behind them, the Haupt Racing Team Mustangs of Vincent Kolb, Frank Stippler, Dennis Fetzer, Jann Mardenborough, and Fabio Scherer put on a strong show, finishing second and third. Mühlner Motorsport took a commanding win in Cup 2 with Hoffmeister, Jahn, and Scheerbarth, while LOSCH Motorsport by Black Falcon followed in second. The round also marked the farewell of Klaus Abbelen, who brought his Frikadelli Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 home second in SP9 Am.
