Nova Race is set for a major change in 2026 as the Varese-based team switches to BMW for its Italian GT Sprint and Endurance Championship programmes. The team will field the BMW M4 GT3 Evo under a fresh partnership with BMW M Motorsport, which includes comprehensive technical support.
The move ends Nova Race’s successful five-year collaboration with Honda and JAS Motorsport, during which the team gave Honda its first-ever overall Italian GT victory in 2021. That success was followed by a 2022 Sprint title for Jacopo Guidetti and Leonardo Moncini.
The new alliance will see Nova Race and BMW begin joint development over the winter to prepare for the Nova Race BMW M4 GT3 Evo’s Italian debut in the spring. In addition to Italian GT, the partnership could also pave the way for future international campaigns, including a return to the GT World Challenge Europe.
