Land-Motorsport has confirmed its return to the DTM for 2026, announcing Bastian Buus as its driver for the new Porsche 911 GT3 R. The news was revealed during Porsche’s Night of Champions and marks the team’s first major step since announcing its switch back to Porsche machinery for next season.

Back to Porsche after a strong debut season

The move follows last week’s announcement of Land-Motorsport’s switch back to Porsche after a decade with Audi, and comes on the back of a strong 2025 debut season that delivered a win and several podiums. Now the team heads into its second DTM campaign with a new manufacturer and a highly rated young driver.

Buus brings proven Porsche pedigree

Buus arrives with strong Porsche pedigree. The Dane rose through the marque’s one-make ladder and secured the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup title in 2023 at age 20. He has already claimed wins with the 911 GT3 R in GT3 competition and will make his DTM debut in 2026.

“We want to build on that in 2026”

Team principal Christian Land noted the confidence gained from their first season and underlined the team’s belief that the combination of Porsche and Buus provides a competitive foundation for next year.

“We are proud to be part of the DTM again next season and are confident that Porsche gives us a strong package,” said team principal Christian Land. “We showed in our debut year that we can fight at the front – and we want to build on that in 2026. With Bastian we have a young driver who brings a lot of talent.”

The 2026 DTM season kicks off on 24–26 April at the Red Bull Ring.
