Aston Martin will be back on the British GT4 grid full-time in 2026 as new outfit GBR Stratton Motorsport becomes the first team to formally declare its hand for the upcoming season.
The freshly minted squad unites two well-established names in UK motorsport. Graham Brunton Racing (GBR) brings its deep grounding in junior single-seater competition, while Stratton Motorsport—long associated with Aston Martin and Lotus machinery both on the road and the racetrack—adds its GT racing heritage and manufacturer ties. Together they will field two AMR-supported Aston Martin Vantage GT4s as the brand returns after a year’s absence.
Driver line-ups remain under wraps, but the intent behind the programme is already clear.
“This marks a pivotal moment for both teams,” said team principal and Stratton founder Roger Bennington. “GBR Stratton Motorsport gives us the platform to harness our collective strengths, and doing it as an official Aston Martin Racing partner makes the step even more significant. We’re eager to show what this collaboration can achieve.”
Incoming team manager Craig Brunton echoed the enthusiasm as GBR shifts its focus from single-seaters to GT racing. “The whole team is energised,” he said. “Moving from the cut-and-thrust of open-wheel racing into GT4 feels like the start of something special—especially with a prestigious brand like AMR behind us. We’re motivated, we’re ready, and we can’t wait to hit the track.”
Aston Martin’s most recent GT4 presence came courtesy of MKH on a race-by-race basis in 2025, but the marque remains one of the category’s heavy hitters, last lifting silverware in 2024 when Forsetti Motorsport secured the teams’ title.
Season 34 kicks off with media day at Silverstone on 31 March, before the championship returns to the Northamptonshire circuit for the opening round on 25–26 April.
