A familiar Aston Martin partnership is back on the British GT grid in 2026 as Ross Gunn reunites with long-time ally Andrew Howard at Beechdean AMR, complete with a throwback livery that recalls the team’s championship-winning past.
The Aston Martin works driver returns to the series after a season focused on Valkyrie Hypercar duties in IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship, rejoining the Pro-Am ranks alongside Howard in Beechdean’s Vantage GT3. Their reunion marks a decade since the pair first raced together, a milestone reflected in the return of the team’s classic blue-and-white colour scheme.
Gunn and Howard last shared a British GT entry in 2023, when multiple near-misses for victory ultimately yielded eighth overall in the standings. They were also reunited later that year at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, claiming a class podium on their first appearance together at the Ardennes classic.
The relationship between Gunn and Beechdean runs far deeper than recent results. His father, Ian, raced Mini Se7ens with the team before Gunn himself made his British GT debut aged just 16, partnering Jamie Chadwick in GT4. The pair went on to secure the 2015 title, becoming the youngest championship-winning duo in series history, in a season that also saw Beechdean and Aston Martin lift the GT3 drivers’ crown through Howard and Jonny Adam.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be coming back to British GT with Beechdean AMR and Andrew,” said Gunn. “There’s always been a strong connection between us — from watching my dad race for the team, to the support Andrew’s given me throughout my career. It really feels like coming home.
“Andrew finished last season in incredible form as Silver-Am champion, so the aim is to hit the ground running and be right in the fight at the front.”
Howard steps back into Pro-Am competition following his 2025 Silver-Am title success with Tom Wood, a move triggered by Gunn’s Platinum driver status.
“Winning again in 2025 and standing on the Spa podium was hugely special,” Howard said. “For 2026 we want to build on that momentum, return to Pro-Am and challenge for overall results from the very first round.
“Having Ross back is fantastic. I’ve known him since he was a kid hanging around the garage, and watching his rise has been incredible. This feels like the right time to push on together again.”
Beechdean’s announcement brings the tally of confirmed Aston Martin entries to five, following earlier GT4 commitments from Full Send Racing and GBR Stratton Motorsport, both of whom will field a pair of Vantage entries.
British GT’s 34th season gets underway with the official Media Day at Silverstone on March 31, ahead of the championship opener at the same venue on April 25–26.
