Ford has officially confirmed the first three drivers for its upcoming Hypercar program set to debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2027, naming Mike Rockenfeller, Seb Priaulx, and former Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant.

The announcement was made during Ford’s annual racing launch event, where the brand also confirmed Sargeant’s addition as a Ford Racing factory driver.

Sargeant has recently shifted his focus toward sports car racing following his stint in Formula 1 with Williams Racing. Over the past several months, the Florida native has returned to IMSA competition, racing with PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports in the LMP2 class at Indianapolis Raceway Park and Road Atlanta, while also participating in testing with Proton Competition in Bahrain.

Looking ahead to 2026, Sargeant is set to compete on a larger scale in sports car racing, highlighted by a full-season campaign with Proton Competition’s Mustang program in the WEC, as well as a start in next weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with Era Motorsport. His inclusion in Ford’s Hypercar lineup marks his first opportunity to compete in the top class of sports car racing.

Rockenfeller brings extensive experience to the program, as the former Le Mans and Rolex 24 overall winner is no stranger to the LMDh platform. He previously competed in IMSA’s GTP class with Proton Competition and JDC-Miller Motorsports during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Priaulx will also make his Hypercar debut as part of Ford’s program in 2027, joining Sargeant in stepping up to the sport’s premier category.
