Myers-Riley’s Mustang program may be a new addition to the IMSA grid for 2026, but the team’s livery for this weekend delivers a strong vintage feel, paying tribute to the iconic 1969 Mustang Boss 302.
The red-and-black design features a white circle on the doors, mirroring the number placement used on the original car. Unlike NASCAR—where numbers typically stand alone—IMSA requires competition numbers to be displayed within a colored box alongside series logos to denote class designation.
Despite those limitations, Myers-Riley elected to position the number within the white door circle, helping recreate the classic Boss 302 look while remaining compliant with IMSA regulations.
The ’69 Mustang Boss 302 livery was famously campaigned by former Indianapolis 500 winner Parnelli Jones and has been revived in recent years through historic racing events. The car remains best known for its success during the Trans-Am era.
