The ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie will tighten its sporting structure for the 2026 season by grouping all GT4 cars exclusively into the SP10 class. The change follows an update to the Specials regulations by ADAC Nordrhein in cooperation with the NLS.
From next season onwards, cars holding a current or former GT4 homologation may no longer compete in SP8T or SP7. The aim is to increase performance density and sporting value within a single, clearly defined GT4 category, similar to how SP9 functions for GT3s. Exceptions remain possible on a case by case basis, for example for older Porsche Cayman GT4 models that are considered a better fit for SP7 after consultation with the organiser.
The decision follows discussions with teams during the 2025 season, where broad support was expressed for concentrating GT4 competition into one class rather than spreading entries across multiple classifications.
2026 season start
The 2026 NLS season begins on 14 March with the opening round, NLS1, marking the start of the series’ fiftieth anniversary year.
