Team WRT has officially announced its driver line-up for the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe, with Charles Weerts and Kelvin van der Linde once again joining forces aboard the #32 BMW M4 GT3 Evo for both the Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup campaigns.
After a highly successful Sprint Cup title-winning season, the familiar pairing remains unchanged in sprint competition. Weerts will be aiming for a remarkable fifth Sprint Cup crown, while Van der Linde returns after securing his maiden series title last year, further strengthening one of the most consistent partnerships in GT World Challenge Europe.
Jordan Pepper Joins Weerts and Van der Linde for Endurance Cup
For the Endurance Cup, the duo will be joined by newly appointed BMW factory driver Jordan Pepper. The South African makes the switch from Grasser Racing, where he claimed overall victory at the 2025 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. Pepper’s arrival adds further depth and experience to an already proven line-up as Team WRT targets overall honours once again. The continuity within Team WRT’s programme reflects BMW’s long-term confidence in the Weerts–Van der Linde partnership, widely regarded as one of the most successful driver combinations in recent GT World Challenge Europe history. With Pepper added to the endurance roster, the team now boasts a blend of sprint sharpness, endurance consistency, and proven 24-hour race-winning pedigree.
Last season, the Endurance Cup team title went to Team Rutronik Racing, while Weerts and Van der Linde secured the Drivers’ Championship. With Pepper now completing the trio, Team WRT is expected to mount a serious challenge against a highly competitive field in the 2026 campaign.
Bathurst 12 Hour to Mark first Outing for New Trio
Before the GT World Challenge Europe season gets underway, the three drivers will first compete together at the Bathurst 12 Hour as part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Team WRT returns to Mount Panorama as the defending winner, this time with a new driver combination and renewed ambitions. Pepper, in particular, brings strong Bathurst credentials, having claimed victory during the Bentley V8 era in 2020.
With a strong sprint pairing and a strengthened endurance line-up, Team WRT heads into the 2026 season as one of the leading teams on the grid. By combining stability with fresh energy, the Belgian squad aims to achieve success in both the Sprint and Endurance Cup campaigns
