The Nürburgring Nordschleife will see a new splash of yellow in 2026 as Dunlop Motorsport enters the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring with a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
The tyre manufacturer will field the latest 2026-spec version of the GT3 machine, based on the 992-generation Porsche first introduced in 2023. The car will run in Dunlop’s iconic yellow-and-black colours with the number 17, a nod to the legendary Porsche Group C prototypes of the 1980s.
Behind the wheel of the Porsche will be a strong four-driver lineup: Julien Andlauer, Nico Menzel, Dorian Boccolacci, and Alessio Picariello. All four drivers bring extensive experience with the Porsche 911 GT3 R and on the demanding 25-kilometre Nordschleife.

Andlauer and Menzel will already make an appearance in the yellow-black Porsche during NLS1, the first race in preparation of the endurance classic. The 26-year-old Frenchman is very familiar with the Nordschleife.
Menzel, who hails from the Eifel region, is widely regarded as a Nordschleife specialist. Boccolacci and Picariello have also proven their status at the track, including overall victories in the endurance competition.
Dunlop will race with the #17 Porsche 911 GT3 R ‘under the umbrella’ of Schnabl Engineering, the crew also running the Falken Motorsports car that enters NLS and the Nürburgring 24 Hours race. Falken has already announced its line-up.
Dunlop’s Nordschleife programme forms part of a broader strategy by Sumitomo Rubber Industries, which acquired the Dunlop trademark rights in 2025 and is positioning the brand at the centre of its global growth plans. Motorsport at the Nürburgring will serve both as a development platform and as a high-profile showcase for the brand’s technology.
