Filipe Albuquerque set the pace in GTP with a 1:47.713 under the lights in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V.Series.R to close out day one of on-track action for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Sheldon van der Linde would closely trail Albuquerque in the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8, posting a 1:47.754 followed by Julien Andlauer sitting third in the #7 Porsche Penske 963 with a 1:48.135.
Tom Dillman led the LMP2s in the #43 Inter Europol Oreca with a 1:50.056. In GTD Pro, Ben Barnicoat topped the class in the #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, 1:59.895, while Antonio Fuoco clocked the best time of 2:00.060 for the #21 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO.
During the session, Solih Yoluc would bring out the only red flag of the session in the #36 DXDT Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R, forgoing there top time for today’s qualifying session.
The WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to action this afternoon with individual class qualifying sessions beginning at 11:25 am ET.
