Brad Schumacher and Broc Feeney have been demoted from the Race 2 podium in GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS at Phillip Island after receiving a 15-second post-race penalty for contact with Shane Smollen. The incident occurred when Schumacher, in the #1 Kelso Electrical MPC Audi R8 LMS GT3, made a move at Turn 2 that sent the #56 Kollosche AMG by Tigani Mercedes-AMG GT3 into the gravel. The penalty drops them from third to ninth in the final classification.

As a result, Ryan Wood and Steve Brooks are promoted to third place in the #88 Wolfbrook Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT3, joining race winners Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti and second-placed Jaxon Evans and Elliot Schutte on the podium.

In the championship, Schumacher and Feeney remain at the top of the standings on 30 points, but their advantage is reduced. Jaxon Evans and Elliot Schutte close to within two points, while Ojeda and Lucchitti move into contention just four points off the lead after their Race 2 victory.
