Huub van Eijndhoven kickstarted the year with a win in his first GT3 race and aims to continue that momentum in two European programmes. The 26-year-old Porsche Supercup graduate joins the GT World Challenge Europe and European Le Mans Series grids.

Van Eijndhoven has already proven his speed in prestigious endurance races. Earlier in 2026, the Dutchman added an impressive win in the 6H of Abu Dhabi and another victory in the 24H of Dubai to his list of achievements, after having won the dessert classic in 2023 for the first time.

For 2026, the Silver-rated driver debuts in GTWC Endurance, and joins Herberth Motorsport on the #91 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo – completing the line-up with Ralf Bohn and Robert Renauer in the Bronze Cup. In june he will compete in the 24H of Spa, fighting for the victory with Bohn and both Robert and Alfred Renauer.

Van Eijndhoven combines this programme with ELMS to drive the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 LMGT3 of Proton Competition with Harry King and Bankcy.

Van Eijndhoven is already familiar with this squad, as he competed in the last two rounds of the Asian Le Mans Series earlier this year. He’s set for a busy season, starting off with ELMS Barcelona and GTWC Paul Ricard both in one weekend.

King combines ELMS with IMSA

The Dutchman graduated from Porsche Supercup in 2025, after completing three seasons in the one-make series. In addition to that, he finished the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany with a P3 in the standings.

Speaking to GT REPORT in January, Van Eijndhoven called it a natural progression of his career. “It made sense to switch to endurance racing [in 2026]. I’ll remain a Silver driver this year, and that’s very attractive in GT3 at the moment,” he explained.

Harry King is the Gold-rated driver of the ELMS trio, and he will combine his duties in Europe with his first IMSA campaign. Joel Sturm will fill in for the Brit when the calendar clashes with IMSA races, in Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps.

GT REPORT caught up with King just before the start of the IMSA season. Full interview can be found here.
