Longtime WWE wrestler and Hollywood actor John Cena made headlines in the motorsports community this morning after posting a photo of Precision Racing’s Honda Civic Type R TCR, a car that competes in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Cena, a 16-time WWE Champion, has had crossover involvement in motorsports in the past through various NASCAR marketing efforts, including serving as the pace car driver for the 2016 Daytona 500.

The pictured car dates back to 2022 and features the blue, white, and black livery sponsored by LA Honda World.

Honda and the car’s former driver, Ryan Eversley, both joined in on the fun in the comments.

“Cena 🤝 Civic,” wrote Honda’s social media team on the star wrestler’s post. Eversley added, “Didn’t expect to see @JohnCena posting a pic of my old @precision_honda race car today, but here we are…”

Although Cena’s Instagram primarily consists of no-context posts, it raises the question: could the “Leader of the Cenation” end up owning a sports car in the future? You never know.
