Zenith Racing Series has unveiled an expanded 2027 schedule following the momentum built during its active inaugural 2026 campaign.

This season’s eight-race calendar featured several notable North American circuits, including Circuit of the Americas, Daytona International Speedway, Road America, Virginia International Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Watkins Glen, Barber Motorsports Park, and Sonoma Raceway.

For 2027, six of the eight tracks will return to the schedule, which once again begins in January and concludes in October. A new addition to the calendar is Sebring International Raceway, which will host both a Sprint Cup and Crown Championship round.

The schedule also features two TBA venues, with one set to host a Dual Championship round, while the other will feature both Sprint Cup and Crown Championship competition.

Absent from the 2027 schedule are Barber Motorsports Park and Circuit of the Americas. However, there remains the possibility that one or both venues could return next season through the two TBA slots.

Along with the schedule release, the series also unveiled its championship format for 2027. The ZRS Crown Championship will highlight longer-form endurance racing, featuring events lasting 11 hours or more. The Zenith Dual Championship will take a more traditional two-race weekend approach, featuring combinations of 5+6, 7+7, and/or 7+8-hour races.

New for next season, the Zenith Sprint Cup was developed in response to team and driver feedback requesting more consolidated timed racing. The format will feature 40-45 minute races across two or three-race weekends, creating nearly six hours of total on-track competition time throughout the season.

Each championship will maintain its own individual points standings, allowing teams and drivers to strategically determine their season goals. There will also continue to be a Zenith Overall Championship awarded at season’s end for programs competing in all nine events on the calendar.

Dates for each event, along with the two unannounced venues, will be revealed at a later date, according to the series, as well as potential spectator events during the 2027 calendar.

Zenith Racing Series’ next stop on this season’s calendar takes the paddock to VIR from June 5-7, featuring all three series classes at Virginia International Raceway.
